The optical curve grinder is a machine tool with excellent performance for grinding curved surfaces, which plays a large role in mold processing.
(1) Working principle and structure The forming and grinding on the optical curve grinding machine is to enlarge the workpiece onto the screen by the optical projection amplifying system, and compare with the enlarged view of the workpiece clamped on the screen, and operate the grinding wheel to work on the workpiece during processing. Grinding, grinding away the part of the line until the contours of the object are all coincident. Mainly composed of bed, coordinate workbench, grinding wheel frame and light screen. The workpiece to be ground is fixed on the coordinate table by special plywood, precision pliers, etc., and the table can be moved longitudinally, laterally and vertically. The grinding wheel is used for the main motion of the rotation, and at the same time, the linear reciprocating motion is performed on the vertical rail of the grinding wheel frame. The grinding wheel frame can be used for the longitudinal and lateral feeding motion as well as the angle of the vertical axis and the angle of the horizontal axis.
(2) Working process of optical curve grinder Before the profile grinding, the optical curve grinder can engrave the film at 20, 50 times according to the size and precision of the workpiece to be ground. During the grinding, the enlarged image is mounted on the light screen, and the shadow projection image of the machined part and the grinding wheel is imaged onto the light screen by the optical projection amplification system of the grinding machine. Then, the grinding head is operated for longitudinal and lateral movement, so that the cutting edge of the grinding wheel is ground along the shape of the workpiece until the contour of the workpiece image and the enlarged drawing line are all coincident, and the grinding process is completed. When performing profile grinding on an optical curve grinding machine, due to the limitation of the size of the light receiving screen, generally only 20MM*25MM workpieces can be ground. When the workpiece size exceeds this limit, segmental grinding is adopted, so the enlarged drawing should be fixed. The reference line is drawn in sections, and the joints are connected to each other according to the reference line.
(3) Precautions during grinding
1. When installing the workpiece, the machining part should be protruded from the edge of the workbench and first adjusted to the focal plane of the objective lens.
2. Before starting the machine, draw a magnified view according to the selected split surface and projection magnification.
